
Welcome to our Pony Groups, where young equestrian enthusiasts gather to learn, ride and have fun!
Here are all the essential details you need to know about our weekly sessions.
Session Schedule
· Wednesday 4:30 pm to 6pm = Grade 2 to 5
· Wednesday 6pm to 7:30pm = Grade 4 to 6
· Pony Stars 11 am to 12 noon = Grade 1 to 2
· Saturday 12:30pm to 2pm (1st ride) = Grade 4 to 6
· Saturday 12:30pm to 2pm (2nd ride) = Grade 1 to 3
· Saturday 2pm to 3:30pm = Grade 3 to 5
· Sunday 10:30 am to 12 noon (1st ride) = Grade 2 to 4
· Sunday 10:30 am to 12 noon (2nd ride) = Grade 4 to 6
· Sunday 1pm to 2:30pm = Grade 3 to 6
Booking
· Pony club session can be booked under courses.
· We have 6 places available per group and these are available to book online.
· All booking is subject to availability and are on a first come first served basis (you will only be able to book groups relevant to your ability).
· All sessions will be subject to our cancelation policy
· If you want to book the month you will have to select the first date the session falls in that month to select all sessions or to book individual sessions, choose that date to see availability.
· The diary opens one month in advance
Activities Overview
· Each session is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, balancing riding skills with horse care knowledge.
· Sessions include a 45-minute riding lesson and 45-minute horse care lesson / team activities.
· Each session will be split into 2 groups of 6 – whilst one group rides the other group complete stable management.
General Information
· Pony group runs all year round with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day
What to Bring
· Riding attire: Riding boots, helmet, comfortable clothing suitable for riding, gloves must be worn.
Wellies are suitable for beginners, and we have helmets which can be borrowed for the first four weeks after which it is expected you purchase your own helmet.
· Water bottle: stay hydrated throughout the session.
Safety Guidelines
· All participants must wear a helmet during riding activities and when handling horses. This is non-negotiable.
· You must follow your instructor’s guidance at all times – this is for your safety and the safety of our horses and will ensure an enjoyable experience.
· Ensure your equipment is checked and secure before riding.
· No Mobile phones in pockets (if bringing a mobile phone with you it must stay in a bag at all times). Deepdene Stables is not responsible for damage to any personal property.
· Tell your instructor when you are leaving.
· Please arrive 5 minutes before your session begins.
· All spectators must wear suitable footwear on the yard.
Fees
· Pony group can either be booked for the month (when the diary opens to secure your place) or before the 1st of each month at £40 per session. If you book weekly its £45 per session.

Rider Grades
0.UNGRADED
1. COMPLETE BEGINNER – Lead rein/lunge.
2. BEGGINNER – Beginning Walk & trot independently.
3. COMPETANT BEGGINNER – Walk, trot, starting to canter.
4. NOVICE – Walk, trot & canter independently.
5. COMPETANT NOVICE – Canter, starting to jump.
6. INTERMEDIATE – Jumping, Stage 1.
Other Information
Sessions are going to be available to all eligible riders, there will no longer be spaces reserved for individuals, it is your responsibility to book on time or risk losing your space.
There will no longer be holiday days given, if you cannot make a session don’t book it. If you book it and so not turn up, there will be no refunds as per our cancellation policy.
